Rosenborg – Dinamo 1-1 (Champions League, play-off, second leg)

Dinamo are back in the Champions League. A brilliant strike from 18 metres out by Amer Gojak found its target and took the Blues to the group stage. Dinamo defeated Rosenborg 2-0 in the first leg of the Champions League play-off, and the Norwegians managed to find the net in the return leg in Trondheim, but while they were hunting for a second goal, Gojak struck. The final 1-1 scoreline promoted Dinamo to the Champions League.

The team was led from the bench by coach Nenad Bjelica. Gojak came into the game in the 66th minute and scored in the 71st. The hosts took the lead in the 11th minute. Dominik Livaković saved Mike Jensen's shot from two metres out, but David Akintola pounced on the rebound and sent it into the goal.

The Norwegians continued to threaten, but Livaković reacted brilliantly in those moments and kept Dinamo's net safe. The Zagreb side were also saved by the post: Vegar Hedenstad struck powerfully from 25 metres in the 44th minute and hit the frame of the goal.

Dinamo increasingly shifted play to the opponent's half, and in the 71st minute came the equalising goal. Gojak, just five minutes after coming off the bench, initiated the attack and then at full sprint from 18 metres out on the left side spectacularly hammered the ball into the near corner.
