Dinamo – Rosenborg 2-0 (Champions League, play-off, first leg)

Dinamo have taken a step closer to their seventh Champions League qualification. The Blues defeated Norwegian side Rosenborg 2-0 at home, and after Amer Gojak's spectacular 18-yard strike into the top corner in the return leg levelled the score at 1-1, the Zagreb side could begin their celebrations.

In the first match, Bruno Petković found the net in the 8th minute from the penalty spot. Previously, Norwegian defender Marius Lundemo had fouled Petković in his own penalty area. In the 28th minute, Dominik Livaković kicked the ball long, and both Petković and visiting centre-back Even Hovland jumped for it simultaneously, with Hovland heading it perfectly into the path of Mislav Oršić, who rushed from the left wing into the penalty area, ran clear of the goalkeeper and scored for 2-0. Shortly after, Dani Olmo led a counter-attack, backheeling the ball to Nikola Moro who, alone from 15 yards, hit the crossbar. In the second half, Samuel Adegbenro also rattled the crossbar with a powerful effort from over 20 yards. Lundemo later attempted to block a shot and deflected the ball onto his own crossbar.
