Građanski – Primorje Ljubljana 10-0

A remarkable 10 goals in a league match! Građanski defeated Primorje from Ljubljana 10-0 at their home ground in Koturaška, and history remembers this match also for the debut appearance of the legendary Milan Antolković, who would later become captain, the creative mastermind of the team, and subsequently a brilliant and successful coach.

The visitors played the entire second half with ten men due to a red card, but the Zagreb side were already leading 5-0 at half-time. Miroslav Mirko Kokotović was absent from the squad, so debutant Antolković stepped into his role on the left wing. Zvonimir Stanković scored no fewer than five goals, Josip Urbanke and Franjo Staroveški each added two, while Franjo Koprivnjak also found the net once.

The championship was divided into four groups, after which the two best teams from each group advanced to the quarter-finals. Građanski were eliminated in the quarter-finals by Hajduk, while the title was later won by Zagreb's Concordia with two final victories against the Split side.
