Dinamo – Partizan 1-0 (the path to the title)

It was a record attendance for any football match in Zagreb at that time, with 30,000 spectators gathering in the stands at Kranjčevićeva. The Blues celebrated with a 1-0 victory scored 15 minutes before the end, practically getting one hand on the championship trophy.

It was Dinamo's spring, a football rhapsody with a romantic dance of the blue shirts: a convincing victory against Red Star in Zagreb with 5-1, followed immediately by a celebration against Hajduk in Split with 2-0, and then another two points against the then-reigning champions Partizan...

Dinamo celebrated against the then red-and-blue team who later became black-and-white. Zvonimir Cimermanić delivered a corner in the 75th minute, Franjo Mara Wölfl headed it on, and Aleksandar Benko hammered it into the net.

At that moment, there were still two matches remaining until the end of the season. The Blues had pulled seven points ahead of third-placed Partizan, while second-placed Hajduk was six points behind but with one game in hand.
