Great news has reached us from faraway Azerbaijan!

Dinamo's juniors achieved an excellent result in the first leg of the second round of the so-called "Champions Path" of the UEFA Youth League.

Milan Badelj's boys won 2-1 against Azerbaijan's junior champions, Qarabağ, and so go into the return leg with an advantage.

Qarabağ took the lead in the final minute of the first half, when Victor Ani Chidioke converted a penalty.

Our youngsters also had a chance to equalise from the penalty spot in the 53rd minute, after Luka Radić was brought down in the box. However, Jone Benkotić's penalty was saved by the home goalkeeper.

But our midfielder soon made up for the miss, when 15 minutes later he scored the equaliser from a Radić assist.

And just when it seemed the match would end without a winner, in the 90th minute Roko Ban, set up by Nika Željković's pass, brought Dinamo a big and important victory!

Dinamo lined up with: Nemet - Trupčević, Radnić, Žaja, Paunović (from 85' Škojc) - Bozhkov (from 85' Željković), Radoš, Benkotić - Radić (from 70' Tejeda), Ban, Jeon (from 60' Mujanović)

The return leg will be played on Wednesday, 4 November, at 1 pm at Ivan Laljak-Ivić Stadium in Zaprešić.

We invite you to come out in as large numbers as possible to support our juniors, and if you can't, to be with us on Dinamo +.
