On Tuesday, July 30, the Azerbaijani club Sabah FC from Baku and GNK Dinamo Zagreb signed a sports cooperation agreement aimed at transferring and applying the knowledge and experience of Dinamo Football Academy to the work of the Sabah FC Football School.
The cooperation agreement is the result of excellent diplomatic relations between Azerbaijan and Croatia, and the aim of the cooperation is to improve football at all levels. The mentioned agreement is of great importance for the development of the Baku club, that is, their players of all ages, and guarantees additional professional education of the Azerbaijani coaches through joint work with Dinamo's player development experts.
The signing of the cooperation agreement was held at the Blue Salon at Maksimir Stadium. Sabah FC was represented by club president Maksud Adigozalov, director of selection Ilgar Israfilov and Azerbaijani ambassador Fahradin Gurbanov, while Dinamo delegation included president Mirko Barišić, board president Vlatka Peras, board member Amra Peternel, director of football school Damir Krznar and his deputy Anđelko Ivanjko.
- Croatia is very popular in the world, and cooperation with Dinamo is a great contribution to Azerbaijani football. In addition, I would like to emphasize that past and present coaches of the Azerbaijan national team were Croatian national team players (Robert Prosinečki and Nikola Jurčević) - said Azerbaijan's Ambassador in Croatia, Mr. Fahradin Gurbanov.
- It is a great pleasure for us to sign a cooperation agreement with a big club like Dinamo Zagreb. This cooperation is the result of good diplomatic relations between Croatia and Azerbaijan - said Mr. Adigozalov, President of Sabah FC.
- This is only the first step of successful cooperation, not only between two clubs, but also between the two countries - added Mr Mirko Barisic, President of Dinamo in the end.
