With minor problems Dinamo won the Cup game in Ždralovi and qualified for the Cup quarterfinal! The defending champions, as expected, dominated the game against third division team and had numerous chances but went to half time with a goal down to score three in the last half an hour of the game for the win.

Just two days after a tough league game against Rijeka Modri came to Ždralovi to play against third division Mladost. As usual in this stages of the Cup coach Zoran Mamić decided to rest numerous players and went on a trip with several youngsters from B team. From the start of the game Dinamo dominated and created chances but Srbljanović was in fantastic form and saved everything.

Hodžić tried from the edge of the box, Pavičić from 7-8 metres and Henriquez placed a shot below the post but Mladost goalkeeper saved everything. Even in the 17th minute when captain Ćorić and Henriquez came in front of him... Dinamo simply couldn't score but – Mladost certainly did. In the 38th minute home team won a corner kick, Starčević was left alone and he gave Mladost the lead for the history books.

After seven minutes of play in second half coach Mamić saw things are not going as planned so Soudani replaced Boras and – it was the right sub to make. Ten minutes later, in the 62nd minute, Soudani made a nice run on the right side and found Hodžić on the far post who headed the equaliser. Of course, Dinamo continued to push forward and in the 70th minute Henriquez gave Modri the lead.

It was a very nice team move where Pavičić and Ćorić made most of the job and young playmaker Ćorić made a pass to Henriquez who had an easy job of scoring from 5-6 metres to an empty net. That was "dream over" for Mladost because it was obvious they had no more strength or quality for another goal but Dinamo wanted to score one more. In the 80th minute Soudani was one and one with the keeper after a brilliant pass by Pavičić but Srbljanović was man of the match for Mladost but seven minutes later it was 3:1. Hodžić "returned" Soudani for the assist in the 62nd minute and this time Algerian international was in the middle to score for the final result and the win.

Modri won the game in Ždralovi, qualified for the quarterfinal and are already concentrated on Friday on the league game in Split.

Copied!
